Ana Maeda-Gonzalez was born and raised in Spring Valley. She has two children attending East Ramapo schools, who inspire her advocacy journey for education and justice. Ana was a PTA President at Fleetwood in 2018 and at the Early Childhood Center in 2016 and 2017. In the last two years she has helped 23 families that were homeless to get out of the shelter and find homes, jobs, schools and medical care. Her educational advocacy started at an early age when she helped fight for her siblings to receive appropriate services for their special education needs. When she became a mother herself she continued to fight for quality education in the face of the extreme budget cuts that have affected our district since 2012. Her goal now is to reunite our community to provide high quality education for all, regardless of race, gender, religion or income.
